Hosea 10:6-8

New American Standard Bible

⁶ The thing itself will be brought to ^(A)Assyria
As a gift of tribute to ^[a](B)King Jareb;
Ephraim will ^[b]be ^(C)seized with shame,
And Israel will be ashamed of its ^(D)own plan.
⁷ Samaria will be ^(E)destroyed with her king,
Like a twig on the surface of the water.
⁸ Also the ^(F)high places of Aven, the ^(G)sin of Israel, will be destroyed;
^(H)Thorns and thistles will grow on their altars;
Then they will ^(I)say to the mountains,
“Cover us!” And to the hills, “Fall on us!”
